Clarke County Board of Education Meetings
The Clarke County Board of Education holds its regular monthly meeting on the second Thursday of each month. The Board's agenda-setting meeting is held on the first Thursday of each month. Normally, the Board of Education does not hold an agenda-setting or regular meeting in July.

Both the regular monthly meetings and the agenda-setting meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Clarke County School District's Administrative Offices, 240 Mitchell Bridge Road.  For a recap of Board of Education meetings and personnel actions, click on the Board Briefs link to the left.

If you would like to speak as a visitor at a regular Board meeting, contact Terry McNamara prior to 4:00 p.m. on the meeting date.

In addition to aforementioned meetings, the Board of Education's Policy Committee meets once a month. Policy Committee members meet at 4:00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the agenda-setting meeting in the superintendent's conference room of the Clarke County School District's Administrative Offices. The Board of Education's Finance Committee meets quarterly and the board's Property Committee meets as needed.

All meetings are subject to being rescheduled.

Announcements are posted on the School District's cable television channel (channel 16 on Charter Cable) and provided to the media when special meetings are scheduled. All Board of Education meetings are open to the public, except those in which specific personnel, property, or legal matters are discussed.  Meetings are also re-aired on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7:00 p.m.
