New 6th Grade Sports Participation Policy
-
In May 2023, the Clarke County Board of Education approved a revision to Board Policy IDE(2) that allows sixth-grade students to compete on their middle schools' athletics teams alongside seventh- and eighth-graders. Schools will provide additional information about fall sports and academic eligibility as well as physical evaluation forms. Grade-level eligibility for competitive teams may vary from sport to sport, depending on the school. Please see on this page a listing of sports offered at Hilsman and the grade levels allowed to participate.
