    Dear Chase Street Parents and Community Members,

    The Clarke County School District Human Resources staff will host a meeting to gather parent and community input into the principal selection process on Tuesday, July 2 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Chase Street Elementary School. The Human Resources staff is moving quickly to ensure we are able to solicit a strong candidate pool and complete the selection process before the start of the school year.

    We will review the steps of the principal selection process and answer your questions about it at the meeting. We will also work through an exercise to examine and prioritize CCSD’s Leadership Standards for Highly-Effective Principals. This is a key component of the screening and interview processes the Chase Local School Governance Team will use in selecting finalists for the principalship.

    Another opportunity to provide input is a survey, which will be posted on July 3 on Chase Street Elementary’s website. If you are not able to attend the community input meeting, please complete the survey. Survey results are compiled and shared with the LSGT to inform their work.

    The LSGT has the option of adding additional members to serve on the principal selection team. Applications to serve on the selection team will be available at the meeting and will also be posted on the school’s website on July 3.
