Office of Early Learning
-
At the Office of Early Learning, we believe that children are born ready to learn. It's our mission to ensure they possess the knowledge and skills to experience school success.
To this end, the Clarke County School District's Office of Early Learning provides early childhood education and care to expectant mothers, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. By providing high-quality, literacy-intense preschool experiences that are intentionally and explicitly taught by well-prepared and knowledgeable staff, our students have the opportunity to enter kindergarten with the skills and knowledge to be successful students.
Since parents are a child's first and most important teachers, the Office of Early Learning considers them to be most important in their child's education. Parents are always welcome in our classrooms, and their input is sought out and included in the department's decisions. Parenting workshops and other parent support groups provide opportunities for parents to develop their skills as their child's most influential teacher.By investing in children and their education at an early age, not only are we benefiting the child himself, but we are bettering the entire community with a globally competitive workforce.
