The Georgia Department of Education requires the administration of certain assessments throughout the school year according to a timeline approved by the GaDOE. In addition, the Clarke County School District utilizes other assessments in order to monitor the progress of students as they progress through the Georgia Performance Standards. The school district has a comprehensive assessment plan that describes all state assessments and locally developed benchmark or classroom assessments that are used to monitor the progress of students.
