Mission
The OAES PTO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to creating a stronger connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement and enhancing the educational experience at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School. We offer support for academic and enrichment activities and help to improve the environment at our school by providing volunteer and financial support.

KYMBERLI CULVER - PTO PRESIDENT
Kymberli Culver is the PTO Board President. Kymberli lived in Athens from 1997-2006 and returned with her family in 2018. She is married to her husband, Phillip, and they together have four children: three boys (Jaiden - 21, Jase - 17, Jackson - 13), and a 9 year old daughter at OAES, Aray Jamison.

NICOLE CRENSHAW - PTO VICE PRESIDENT
Nicole Crenshaw is the PTO Vice President. She has called Athens home for over twenty years, and this year will be her seventh year as an OAES parent. Nicole and her husband Jason have two Oglethorpe Wildcats --- a fifth grader and a second grader.

MARY PAT PROVOST - PTO TREASURER
Mary Pat Provost is a native Athenian and the parent of a second grader at OAES. She is happy to have the opportunity to serve the Wildcat community as PTO Treasurer. If you see her at walker pickup, please say hi!

JAMIE CLARK - PTO TEACHER REPRESENTATIVE
Jamie Clark is a third grade teacher and a PTO Teacher Representative. She and her two children came to OAES in 2019. Her son graduated to middle school last year, but her daughter is continuing as a 3rd grader. Jamie is excited to serve the Wildcat family, supporting all students and families, as a teacher and with the PTO!

APRIL ROMERO - PTO TEACHER REPRESENTATIVE
April Romero is excited to join PTO this year as a PTO Teacher Representative. Originally
from Miami, FL, April is in her third year teaching at OAES. She began in 5th grade before moving to second grade DLI, where she will continue this year. She lives with her dog, Turbo, and her fiancée, Vince, to whom she will be married later this fall. April is excited to get to be more involved with the school community this year through PTO.

CARRIE BETTE-DUNCAN - PTO TEACHER REPRESENTATIVE
Carrie Bette-Duncan started at OAES in the middle of the pandemic and continues teaching 4th grade DLI Spanish. Her husband and her moved to Athens over 20 years ago, and this is year 20 for her teaching in the Clarke County School District. She has two daughters, the youngest a senior at Clarke Central High School. She has enjoyed being a part of PTOs in different buildings as a parent and teacher.
