The Hilsman Local School Governance Team (LSGT) is made up of committed school advocates: the school principal, 3 staff members, 3 parents, 3 community members and 1 student. Teams can also add one or two at-large members. Team members work together to boost student achievement and have input into critical decisions including the school growth plan and budget.
The LSGT is led by the principal and team co-chair, who is a parent or community member. During the 2020-2021 school year, the Hilsman LSGT meets from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the following dates:

- November 10, 2020
- December 8, 2020
- January 12, 2021
- February 9, 2021
- March 9, 2021
- April 13, 2021
- May 4, 2021
Meetings are held at the school and/or on Zoom (see information to join below) and are open to the public. If an individual wishes to speak to the LSGT during the meeting, the individual must notify the principal by 4:00 p.m. the day before the meeting is held. Individual speakers will be limited to 3 minutes. To protect privacy, speakers shall refrain from identifying students or staff by name. Personal concerns may be addressed in writing to the co-chairs of the LSGT.
