This Order protects tenants who file a valid Declaration from being removed from their property of residence even if the court holds a hearing and orders an eviction. Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services - Summer Camp
The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department announces its slate of summer camp programs for 2021. The Department offers the most diverse selection of award-winning summer camps in Northeast Georgia including camps highlighting art, nature education, sports, and theatre. Opportunities are available for children and teens.
Camp listings are available at www.accgov.com/myrec. A Summer Camp Guide is available at www.accgov.com/camps that can be downloaded. Online registration begins Saturday, April 10 at 9:00 a.m. for Athens-Clarke County residents. Non-residents may register beginning Monday, April 12 at noon. Online registration will take place at www.accgov.com/myrec. -

Emotional/Mental Health Support

What should I do if my child expresses an emotional or mental health need during school closure days?
During the period of school closure, student support staff, including counselors, social workers, nurses, and psychologists, are available for phone and/or email consultation. You can find the email address for your school’s support staff on the school webpage. If your child experiences or expresses symptoms of an emotional or mental health crisis, you should contact the Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) at 1-800-715-4225. GCAL is a free resource provided to all Georgia Families that aims to provide immediate and qualified mental health assistance and referrals to families. You may also download the MyGCAL app at no cost from the app store. Of course, if you believe that this need is an emergency, contact 911 immediately. -
What should I do if I become aware of a child welfare concern? If you become aware of a concern for a child’s well-being, please contact the Department of Family and Children Services to make a report, 1-855-GA- CHILD. If you believe that a child is in immediate danger, please call 911.

Experience UGA
Experience UGA is a partnership between the University of Georgia and the Clarke County School District to bring every Clarke County student to UGA's campus for an annual field trip. Georgia Office of Family Independence
Message from the GA Office of Family Independence: We understand everyone wants to have their situations resolved and the staff is working as quickly as they can to process information, however, they are not going to be able to respond in a manner as they may have previously done. If families need information, please refer to the following information.
The state is working diligently to get all of our OSOP renewals processed and approved as quickly as possible. If you have a question or a concern about your case please call the Customer Contact Center at 1-877-482-3233. Here are some of the questions/issues that are handled by the customer contact center; telephone applications (for food stamps and Medicaid), unlocking gateway accounts, checking the status of renewals or applications, mailing paper applications for TANF and other general questions. Families can also still utilize the county office phone lines as they are still being answered by a staff member. The number for the Clarke County office is 706-227-7021.

Hilsman Health Center Open for Students/Staff
The Hilsman Health Center is open to serve as a wellness clinic to serve CCSD students and staff. Services include:
- sports physicals
- immunization updates
- COVID testing and antibody testing
In an attempt to keep the clinic as germ-free as possible, the center will NOT schedule any sick visits during the month of July.

¿Qué debo hacer si mi hijo(a) expresa una necesidad de salud mental o emocional durante los días de cierre de escuela?Durante el período de cierre de escuelas, el personal de apoyo estudiantil, incluidos consejeros, trabajadores sociales, enfermeras y psicólogos, estará disponible para consultas telefónicas y/o por correo electrónico. Puede encontrar la dirección de correo electrónico del personal de apoyo de su escuela en la página web de la escuela.
Si su hijo(a) experimenta o expresa síntomas de una crisis de salud mental o emocional, debe comunicarse con Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) al 1-800-715-4225.
