CEDAR SHOALS ONE ACT EXCELS AT REGIONAL COMPETITION

Cedar Shoals Drama Department recently competed in the GSHA One act competition in Buford, Georgia with the play Whose Life is it Anyway by Brian Clark.   The cast received an overall ranking of Superior; two of the actors, Ana Cabral and Dameria Jordan, were named to the All-Star line-up; and Havivah Saltz was named Best Actress for the Region for her portrayal of the main character, a quadriplegic fighting for the right to make her own medical decisions.

“We are so proud of these talented young actors,” said Demond Means, superintendent of Clarke County Schools. “They tackled some very difficult subject matter with grace and aplomb.   Their incredible spirit brought them success and they are another example of how CCSD is better every day.”
