CCSD Community Oversight Committee (C.O.C.) Seeks Interested Community Members to Serve

The Clarke County School District Community Oversight Committee (hereinafter known as the "C.O.C.”) is seeking interested community members to serve on the committee. The C.O.C. is an oversight group that provides feedback and counsel to the district's Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST)/Construction department. The committee provides perspective on topics such as long-range facilities planning, input on current construction projects and insight on the prioritization of potential future construction projects. The role of the C.O.C. for Education SPLOST is to serve as an effective liaison connecting the individual projects. The Clarke County School District Board of Education depends greatly on the C.O.C. to ensure the district are effective stewards of the sales tax revenue for the benefit of the students and citizens of Athens-Clarke County.
