Starting in July, for at least the remainder of this year, the Clarke County Board of Education will hold only one regularly-scheduled meeting per month, rather than two. This monthly meeting will be a combination of what had previously been the monthly work session and the monthly voting session and will be on the second Thursday of each month.

The work sessions will begin at 5 p.m., and the voting sessions will begin at 7 p.m. The meeting dates for the remainder of 2023 are: July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9, and Dec. 14.

All meetings are held in the Vernon Payne Meeting Hall of the Clarke County School District administrative building, located at 595 Prince Ave. in Athens.
