The mission of the Business Services Division is to provide support for the education process. It does so by budgeting, organizing, collecting tax revenues, and paying obligations including the employee payroll. Major responsibilities are accounting (payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting), asset management, internal auditing, budgeting, and purchasing.

CCSD received a “Certificate of Achievement for Excellent Financial Reporting” from the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts for FY2020. The Best Practice Criteria has been established to recognize better practices for financial reporting and controls. This Certificate of Achievement encourages local boards of education to go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles and recognize individual organizations that are successful in achieving that goal.
