Happy National Administrative Professionals Week!
Today, we are shining a huge spotlight on the incredible women who keep our school running smoothly and safely every single day. Meet the heart of our office:
📋 Ms. Colquitte: Our amazing Registrar, Bookkeeper, and Principal’s Secretary. Whether she’s balancing the books or managing the busiest schedules, she does it all with expert precision and grace.
👋 Ms. Navarrete: The friendly face of our front office! As the first person you see when you walk in, she greets everyone with a smile and serves as our first line of defense for school safety.
We are so lucky to have this dynamic duo on our team. THANK YOU for everything they do! 💐✨

This past Tuesday we had the opportunity to take our students on a field trip to see the Jackie Robinson play at the historic Morton Theatre. What an incredible learning experience!

The students had an amazing time. They were truly surprised to see how one person could perform a powerful one-man show while engaging the audience throughout the entire performance. The interaction made it even more special.

We laughed at the jokes, and we were completely tuned in as he shared important history with our students, teachers, and staff. It was the perfect combination of education and entertainment.

Experiences like this bring history to life in a way textbooks simply can’t. 💛

Week 2 of Celebrating Black History ✨🦅

We’re officially in Week 2, and this is the week of our Bulletin Board Contest! It may have been a rocky start, but Team A is definitely showing up and trying to show out 👀🔥. And from what I heard yesterday, Team B has some GREAT ideas too. I’m excited to see everything come alive!

This week, we’re shining the Spotlight every day on a different individual who has made an impact.

🌟 Monday: The spotlight was on Simone Biles, and Aniyah Lynch did an amazing job speaking about her during the morning announcements.
🌟 Tuesday: The spotlight was on LeBron James, and Jaqurius Allen dropped some facts that had us learning things we didn’t even know!

Now we’re even more excited to see who will be in the spotlight on Wednesday and the rest of the week 👏🏾👏🏾

🧠 This Thursday, we’ll have a brand-new Trivia Question, so good luck to everyone participating!

Don’t forget to share, comment, and like our page.
Have a wonderful Tuesday — the Eagle Way 🦅💙💛

Good morning, Eagles! 🦅

We are off to a great start celebrating Black History Month! Every Thursday, we will ask our students a Black History trivia question, and the first student to email Ms. Taylor with the correct answer will be the winner.

I hope everyone saw yesterday’s trivia question—because our students were on it! We had four students email the correct answer at the exact same time (11:31 a.m.) 😲👏 Since it was a tie, we placed all four names into a spinner.

🎉 Congratulations to our winner: Deasia Bolds! 🎉

Shout-out to our other amazing students who also answered correctly:
⭐ Damino Cantey
⭐ Trinity Odister
⭐ Jamarie Leguin

Great job, Eagles! Keep showing up, participating, and making us proud. More trivia to come every Thursday! 🖤✨

Today we Spotlight Malcolm X, a powerful leader in Black History.
Malcolm X was born May 19, 1925, in Omaha, Nebraska. He became a strong voice for Black empowerment, self-respect, and equality during the Civil Rights Movement.

Malcolm X believed that Black people should be proud of who they are and should stand up for their rights by any means necessary. He encourage education, unity, and economic independence within the Black community. Through his speeches and leadership, he challenged injustice and helped many people see the importance of knowing their history and valuing their identity.

Although Malcolm X was assassinated on February 21, 1965, his words and legacy continue to inspire generations to stand strong, speak truth, and demand respect.

Classic City’s Boys’ Group Real Talk hosted its very first PORT (Parents of Real Talk) evening event last week — and it was a huge success!

A special thank you to Mr. Richie for planning and coordinating such a meaningful evening. We are also grateful to our guest speakers — Ms. Sellers, Dr. Tolbert, and Sheriff Williams — for sharing their time, wisdom, and encouragement with our families. And a huge shoutout to Ms. Forest for her ongoing support and dedication to making this event possible.

We’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue building strong connections between our Real Talk boys, their families, and our community!

Classic City’s Boys’ Group Real Talk led by Behavior Interventionist Mr. Julius Richie had an incredible opportunity today! We were honored to welcome ACC Chief of Police Jerry Saulters and ACC Deputy Chief of Community Services Willie Brinkley as our guest speakers.

They shared powerful insights, encouraged our young men, and reminded them of the importance of leadership, accountability, and community. We’re grateful for their time, wisdom, and support of our mission.

Thank you, Deputy Chief Brinkley and Chief Saulters, for investing in our boys!
