Students participating in summer enrichment activities hosted at school sites will have access to free breakfast and lunch while at school. Schools that will host summer enrichment opportunities include:

Summer Camp/Mobile Routes Menu

Summer enrichment programs will operate Monday through Thursday, each week. The first day will be Monday, June 2, and the last day will vary depending on site.  Most programs will conclude on Thursday, June 26.  Please note: CCSD will be closed on Thursday, June 19, and Friday, June 20, so meals will not be available on those two days.

Clarke Middle will be open to the public for lunch from 12:15-12:45 p.m.  This site's last day will be Wednesday, June 18. Visitors should check in at the front office before going to the cafeteria.

Hilsman Middle will be open to the public for lunch from 11-11:45 a.m.  This site's last day will be Thursday, June 26. Visitors should use the cafeteria entrance on the far right side of the front of the building.

J.J. Harris Elementary will be open to the public for lunch from 11:30-12 p.m.  This site's last day will be Wednesday, June 18. Visitors should use the side entrance next to the cafeteria.

Meal service will conclude on the same day that summer enrichment programs end at these sites.

Students participating in select summer camps may have the opportunity to receive a free lunch while at camp.  The camps that have collaborated with our program this summer include:

• YWCO Girls' Club at Holston Elementary

• Athens Clarke County’s (ACC) Howard Lay Park

• ACC’s Thomas Lay Park

• ACC’s Heard Park

• New Grove Baptist Church

• First AME Church

• Timothy Baptist Church

Most camps will operate Monday through Friday.  Lunches will be provided on Monday, June 2, through Friday, June 27.  Lunch meals will not be provided during the month of July.  Please note: CCSD will be closed Thursday, June 19, so camps will not receive meals on that day.

Weekend meals will be available for pick up at J.J. Harris Elementary. on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Families that wish to pick up breakfast and lunch meals for the weekend (Friday through Sunday) can stop by J.J. Harris Elementary on the following days:

• Thursday, June 5

• Thursday, June 12

• Wednesday, June 18 - This meal bundle will include enough meals for four days due to CCSD being closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

Bundled meals will be ready for pick up after students have dismissed.  Students enrolled is the summer enrichment program at J.J. Harris will receive bundled meals before leaving the school.  

The public will be available to pick up these bundled meals for their children between 3:30-4:15 p.m.  Parents and guardians can pick up meals without having their children present, but they will need to collect their meals from inside the cafeteria.  Park in the bus loading zone and follow the signs to the correct door.  One bundle of meals will be provided for each child at home.  Instructions for how to serve and prepare the meals will be included in the bundle.  These meals will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.  Once we run out of meals, we will close for the day.
