New student enrollment for next school year in the Clarke County School District for all grade levels, including pre-K and kindergarten, is now open, and the district will be bringing registration directly into select neighborhoods in Athens-Clarke County to assist families with getting their child first-day ready for the start of school in August.

CCSD today announced upcoming “Rolling Registration” events that will be held June 16-17 to assist families in four Athens Housing Authority communities. The district will utilize one of its “Innovative Learning Labs,” a repurposed former school bus equipped with WiFi, computer stations, and interactive learning centers for children with literacy and STEM-focused activities. The Rolling Registration schedule is as follows:

  • June 16, 8 a.m. - noon - Nellie B.

  • June 16, 1-4 p.m. - Parkview

  • June 17, 8 a.m. - noon - Rocksprings

  • June 17, 1-4 p.m. - Broadacres.

Student registration in CCSD is required for all students who will be new to the district starting with the 2026-27 school year. Students must turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026, to be eligible for kindergarten and 4 years old on or before September 1 to attend pre-K. Students who currently attend CCSD schools, including those who were in CCSD pre-K for 2025-26, do not have to re-enroll.

While student enrollment in CCSD is an online process and can be done at home, in-person assistance is available at the District Office for families who need support and assistance. The Rolling Registration initiative is the first planned effort to bring assistance with registration and other enrollment needs directly into Athens-Clarke County communities.

Proof of parent or legal guardian identification and residency, as well as the child's birth certificate and immunization records, are among the documents required to successfully enroll a student.

In addition to enrollment, the district will also be offering assistance with address changes and other registration needs. Proof of residency and a valid ID are required to successfully change your address with the district.
