Please join us tomorrow night for our annual African American Heritage celebration!

We encourage all families to participate in the Georgia School Climate Survey. This survey gives parents the opportunity to share feedback about their child’s school experience, including school safety, communication, teaching and learning, and overall environment. Your input is extremely important because it helps us understand what we are doing well and where we can improve. The results are used to guide school improvement efforts and ensure we are creating a positive, supportive learning environment for all students.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to make your voice heard and support our school community.

We are proud to recognize Jessica Shuman, a science teacher at Burney-Harris-Lyons Middle School in the Clarke County School District, for her exceptional dedication to science education. Her deep knowledge of Science-Georgia Standards of Excellence and student learning enables her to create engaging science lessons where students ask questions, analyze data, build models, and communicate their findings in meaningful ways.
Jessica adapts lessons to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring every student has access to high-quality science instruction. Beyond her classroom, she serves as a mentor teacher, hosting practicum and student teachers to prepare the next generation of educators.
Thank you, Jessica, for inspiring curiosity and learning in science for all of your students and shaping the future of science educators! 🔬✨
