The Clarke County School District’s Pre-K Priority Registration for the 2026-27 school year will be held Monday through Friday, Feb. 2-6, 2026.
Student enrollment in CCSD is an online process. The online registration link will be available starting Feb. 2 and can be found on the district website along with a list of documents required to complete registration successfully. The priority registration window will close at 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 6; however, pre-K registration for next school year will remain open until all spots are filled. Students must turn 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026, to be eligible to attend pre-K in CCSD next school year.
In-person assistance with the pre-K registration application will be available during the priority registration period in the CCSD Student Registration Center at the District Office, located at 595 Prince Ave. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments are strongly encouraged to avoid potentially lengthy wait times. An online calendar to schedule an appointment is available here. Appointments during the priority registration week (Feb. 2-6) will be made available Monday, Jan. 26.
Each school year, CCSD's 14 elementary schools and its two early learning centers (ELC East and ELC West) have a designated number of pre-K spots (seats) based on state funding, demand, and the school's capacity to provide pre-K instruction. All children who are registered anytime from Feb. 2-6 will receive priority placement based on seat availability. If the number of students registered exceeds the number of available seats at any school, a random selection process will be used, and families of those students not selected will be given the option to be placed on a wait list. Families will be notified by Friday, March 6, of their child’s status. Families of those who are enrolled in a spot will be asked to accept it by Friday, March 13. Students who are registered for pre-K after Feb. 6 will be assigned to classes based on availability.
CCSD students are initially assigned to schools based on the residential attendance zone of their parent(s)/legal guardian(s). Families will be given an option on the pre-K application for their student to be placed in an out-of-zone school for pre-K but must provide their own transportation if the student is placed at that school. Attendance zones and a street-by-street index for Clarke County can be found at this link.
In advance of the priority registration period, CCSD encourages families to familiarize themselves with the registration process and begin gathering the required documentation. The list of documents can be found at www.clarke.k12.ga.us/registration.
