Winterville Elementary

PASSPORT TO PRODUCE On Friday, the Marigold Collective visited Winterville Elementary School to bring the farmers market to Winnerbee first graders! Students were able to see, touch, and taste locally grown organic products from our community to bolster their learning by being exposed to budgeting, the nutritional benefits of eating local produce, and hands-on activities. This visit was helped by a $2,500 grant awarded to the Marigold Collective from Wholesome Wave Georgia as part of the Passport to Produce program, with the primary purpose of distributing more benefits to our community and raise awareness of local farmers markets, such as the Marigold Farmers Market in Winterville!
