Board Meetings are open to the public.
The Board of Education typically holds its combined work session and regular monthly meeting on the second Thursday of each month. The work session begins at 5 p.m., followed by the board meeting at 7 p.m.
Meetings are open to the public and can also be viewed on the CCSD YouTube channel. Subscribe to the channel and receive updates when a meeting begins.
Agendas are made available three (3) days in advance in the governance information system for the BOE (Simbli).
Public Comment Submissions
The deadline to sign up to read public comments at a regular BOE meeting is 4 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

House Bill 581 Public Hearings - January/February 2025
The Board of Education intends to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption for the Clarke County School District and has announced the three required public hearings as part of that process. The hearings have been scheduled for the following dates and times in the Vernon Payne Meeting Hall at the District Office, located at 595 Prince Ave., Athens:

6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 - Originally rescheduled from Jan. 21 to Feb. 4 due to inclement weather.
