Dr. Carson & Mr. Payne
Greetings Superstar Families from Dr. Carson!
My name is Stacie Carson, and I am honored to be the principal at Howard B. Stroud Elementary. It has been a great joy to watch all of the bright and shining faces come into the building these first days of school. In addition, I have enjoyed meeting so many of our fabulous Stroud families and look forward to working with you to provide your children with the best education possible.
During my 20 years in education, I have taught grades 4 through 7 of various levels, and most recently was the assistant principal at Fowler Drive Elementary. Like most educators, I have a passion for teaching students and helping them reach academic and personal goals. My daily purpose is to develop positive relationships with staff, students, and families in order to build a strong foundation for student learning at H. B. Stroud Elementary.
In recent days I have learned that H. B. Stroud Elementary is an awesome place to teach and learn. I appreciate the warm welcome into the Superstar Family and am excited about the new school year!
Greetings Superstar Families from Mr. Payne!
My name is Cedric Payne. It is truly a pleasure for me to be the assistant principal at Howard B. Stroud Elementary. I am excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways- filling our building with energy and enthusiasm for learning. At Howard B. Stroud Elementary, our goal is to ensure that every student that enters our building leaves it as S.T.A.R. That means that all students will be scholars, thoughtful, appreciative, and respectful when they enter middle school.
I began my career in education 8 years ago as an academic interventionist at Howard B. Stroud before moving to Winterville Elementary where I taught 4th and 5th grade and served as an EIP teacher. I am excited to be back home at Howard B. Stroud and work with a super staff to develop future leaders. It is an honor to work with our wonderful students and all of their supportive parents.
