COVID-19 Protocols

  • The following are COVID-19 protocols that CCSD is adhering to. For additional information, please refer to the Georgia Department of Public Health COVID-19 guidance

    • Please do not come to work or school if you are feeling unwell. The most important thing we can all do is stay home when we are sick. The CCSD general illness guidelines ask that all sick individuals stay home until they are feeling better and are at least 24 hours free of fever (without the use of medications), vomiting, and diarrhea.

    • If you test positive for COVID, you do not need to report it to the school. We ask that everyone follow the Georgia Department of Public Health COVID Isolation Guidance (see excerpt below)

      • You may discontinue home isolation when:

        • At least 5 days have passed since symptoms first appeared and

        • At least 24 hours have passed since last fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and

        • Symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath) have improved.

        • Masking is recommended in public on days 6-10.

    • The CDC offers a helpful Isolation Calculator to help you a determine a date to safely return to work or school.
