Local School Governance Teams have the opportunity to design a school-based initiative to support the implementation of their School Growth Plans. The growth plans identify each school’s top priorities. They also outline desired outcomes for each priority as well as specific strategies school leaders and staff undertake to address them. Grant-funded initiatives should support one or more priority and supplement or enhance the implementation of identified strategies. They must also address one of three areas: literacy, numeracy, or social-emotional learning. 

For the 2019-2020 school year, the district is dedicating approximately $596,000 to support the grant program. 

There are four grant proposal submission deadlines for the 2019-2020 school year:

• September 13, 2019
• October 18, 2019
• November 15, 2019
• February 14, 2020

Grant Fund Management 

Grant funds must be used in accordance with CCSD policies and the deadlines and requirements set by the CCSD finance department including:

• All 2019-2020 grant funds must be spent by June 30, 2020
• All items purchased with grant funds must be received by June 30, 2020
• All services purchased with grant funds must be received by June 30, 2020
