School Counseling

  • cms counselorsThe goal of The Clake County School District school counseling department is to provide and foster a comprehensive school counseling program that includes responsive services, school-wide programming, and social-emotional learning.

CCSD has full-time professional school counselors in all elementary, middle, and high schools. School counselors provide students with important services to develop the whole child and address the three domains of student development: academic, social/emotional, and career. In addition, the PreK-12 program is designed to ensure that school counselors provide direct and indirect services to all students. School counselors work to positively impact school attendance, behavior, academics, and achievement; thus serving as school leaders, student advocates, consultants, and collaborators to help remove barriers that hinder school performance.
