The school counseling department supports and provides guidance to schools around comprehensive school counseling services and programming, social-emotional learning, and PBIS implementation.
CCSD has full-time school counselors in all elementary, middle, and high schools. School counselors provide students with important services to develop the whole child socially, emotionally, and academically. This is done through programs that are delivered to the individual, the whole classroom, or school-wide. School counselors also provide non-therapeutic counseling to students and offer a variety of small-group sessions around specific topics.
